Where to eat in Naklua · 2026

By Wano Sushi · 4 June 2026

Naklua is the quiet north-Pattaya neighborhood between Wongamat Beach and the original Pattaya fishing port. It's where long-stay residents, families, and travelers who want calm dining find their favorites.

Why Naklua is different

Naklua predates the Walking Street tourism boom. It's still a working Thai neighborhood — markets, schools, condos, family-run restaurants — sitting on the water. The dining scene reflects that: fewer flashy tourist traps, more solid neighborhood operators serving the same regulars for years.

If you're staying at Pullman Pattaya G, Centara Grand Modus, or any of the Wongamat condo blocks, this is your dining zone. Most great food sits within a 10-minute Grab radius.

Japanese · Wano Sushi

Inside Wongamat Residence on Naklua Soi 16/3. Fresh sashimi and nigiri sourced daily from the Bangkok wholesale market. 4.9★ Google · 306 reviews. Edo-style plating in a small wooden-counter room. English, Thai, Russian spoken. Open daily 15:00–00:00. Casual but careful. See menu for current prices and selection.

Thai seafood — the Naklua specialty

Naklua's seafood roots run deep. The neighborhood sits next to the old Pattaya fishing port, so several Thai-seafood operators source the same day from local catches. Look for crab, prawns, sea bass, and clams. Most of these places have outdoor seating, family-style service, and Thai-language menus (photos help).

If you only get one Thai-seafood dinner in Pattaya, do it in Naklua rather than further south.

Cafés and brunch spots

Naklua has a small but growing café scene catering to the long-stay crowd. Specialty coffee, Western brunch, Thai breakfast options. Most open from 08:00 and close around 17:00 — the dinner scene shifts to restaurants like Wano.

What Naklua doesn't have

Don't come to Naklua looking for nightclubs, dance floors, or high-volume tourist Walking-Street energy. That's all 15-20 minutes south. Naklua is a dinner-and-quiet-drink neighborhood.

How to get around Naklua

Grab: easiest, most reliable. ฿60-150 for any cross-Naklua trip.
Songthaew (red truck): ฿20 along Sukhumvit and Naklua Road. Inexpensive but slower.
Walking: doable for short hops if it's not too hot. Otherwise grab a ride.
