Date night sushi in Wongamat

By Wano Sushi · 4 June 2026

A quiet wooden counter, lantern light, and fish you can actually taste — Wano is the sushi date night that makes Bangkok-trip-to-Pattaya couples come back for more.

Why a small room works

Pattaya has many big, loud restaurants. We're not one. Our dining room is intentionally small — about 16 seats — so the room stays quiet enough for actual conversation. The lantern lighting is warm, never harsh. The bar music is soft.

For dates, this matters. You're not yelling across a table at someone you'd rather hear. You're tasting fish together, talking quietly, and the room is on your side.

The flow of a date dinner

For two, the ideal date-night order is: share a Signature Sashimi Platter to start (slow, conversation-friendly), then a warm dish like Beef Tataki, then a roll or two together, finishing with a sweet dish if room remains. Total time: 75-90 minutes. Pace is in your hands.

Couples often order the same things from each course — sharing is easier when there's variety on the plate. Tell our staff "we're celebrating" and we'll plate things with a bit more visual care.

Reserve, don't walk in

For date night, reserve. Saturday nights especially fill up between 19:00 and 21:00. Message us on WhatsApp +66 96 969 6889 with your date and time. Mention if it's a birthday or anniversary — we'll note it.

Best seating for couples

The wooden counter is ideal for couples who like to watch the kitchen work. Conversation-friendly and intimate. We also have small two-tops for guests who prefer face-to-face. State your preference when reserving.

Pre- or post-dinner options

Wongamat Beach is a 5-minute walk away — a stroll there before or after dinner makes the night feel longer. Several wine bars and cocktail lounges in the area open until late if you want a second stop. Pullman Pattaya G's rooftop is a nearby favorite for a post-dinner drink.

Reserve a date night table

Mention if it's a special occasion — we'll plate with extra care.
