How to get the table in high season

Pattaya's high season runs roughly November through February. During these months, small specialty restaurants book differently than they do the rest of the year. This is a short, useful note on how to navigate.

The shift

Off-season (May–October): walk-ins usually work on weeknights. Friday and Saturday require reservation but next-day booking is reliable.

Shoulder (March–April, September–October): walk-ins work on weeknights with some risk. Weekend reservations need 3 to 5 days notice.

High season (November–February): walk-ins are unreliable any night. Weekend reservations need 1 to 2 weeks. Holiday weeks (Christmas, New Year) need 3 to 4 weeks.

Why the small room matters

A 60-seat restaurant has flex in its booking calendar. A 16-seat restaurant has almost none. Once the reservations for a given night are taken, the night is closed. The two-week-ahead booking discipline that feels excessive for a casual diner is, for a small room, just baseline math.

What we recommend

For a planned trip to Pattaya during high season, reserve as soon as you have firm dates. We accept reservations up to three months ahead. The same-week booking that works in May rarely works in December.

If your dates are flexible, weekday nights are easier than weekends. Sunday evenings, in particular, are an underrated high-season window — many tourists are traveling on Sundays and the restaurants are quieter than the Friday-Saturday peak.

If your dates are not flexible and we are full, ask. We sometimes have late-evening windows (22:00 onwards) that don't appear on standard booking and that work well for guests willing to have a later dinner.

What not to do

Do not assume the booking system online reflects real availability. For most small Pattaya restaurants, including ours, WhatsApp is faster than online booking forms and more flexible. Message us directly with party size, date, time, and dietary notes. We confirm within minutes during operating hours.

Do not show up forty-five minutes late for a high-season reservation. We hold tables for fifteen minutes; after that we sometimes have to release them to waiting walk-ins. If you are running late, message us and we will hold longer.
