Why our salmon is different
We sell salmon nigiri (6 pieces). Bangkok omakase rooms sell similar-quality salmon at per pair. Same fish. The price difference isn't a trick — it's the route.
The source
Most premium salmon in Thailand arrives from Norway by air. The fish is flown to Bangkok, processed at a Bangkok wholesale facility, then distributed. Bangkok wholesalers sell to high-end restaurants directly. Restaurants resell at restaurant pricing.
Our salmon comes from that same Bangkok wholesale facility. The exact same boxes of fish that go to Tonkatsu Sushi Bangkok or Saa Sushi Sukhumvit go to us too — just on a different truck.
Why we can charge less
Three reasons:
1. Our rent is lower. Wongamat residential is cheaper than Sukhumvit Bangkok premium retail. About 1/4 the cost per square meter.
2. We don't market. No PR firm. No paid Google ads. No Instagram influencer budget. We rely on Google reviews + word of mouth — a marketing budget Bangkok premium rooms can't match.
3. We don't take VC money or have investors. No expectation of 30% margins to satisfy shareholders. We make a living. That's the goal.
What this means for you
You get the same quality salmon as Bangkok -tier rooms at our pricing.
You get fresh-cut to order — the salmon you eat at Wano was cut within 5 minutes of being on your plate.
You don't pay tourist tax. We charge Thai pricing to everyone — Thai locals, Russian regulars, European tourists, all the same menu.
Honest caveats
We're not Bangkok premium-omakase quality. We're solid premium-mid quality. The salmon is the same — but the rice technique, the ginger, the soy sauce setup, the room itself — these are at "really good neighborhood sushi" level, not at "Tokyo-trained chef in a private 6-seat room" level.
If you want a once-a-year omakase experience, fly to Bangkok and pay at the top rooms. If you want "I eat sushi every other week and I want it to actually be fresh," that's us.
